WILMINGTON, DE – AUGUST 24, 2017 – The Delaware 87ers today announced the team’s 2017-18 NBA G League regular season schedule. The Sevens tip off the home half of the team’s fifth season in Delaware against the Westchester Knicks on Monday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m.

“We are looking forward to the 2017-18 season being the most exciting 87ers season to date,” said Sevens President Larry Meli. “This year’s schedule incorporates some notable changes — earlier mid-week start times at the Bob Carpenter Center and the addition of two games at The Center in Philadelphia. In an effort to manage priorities, the University of Delaware has revised the schedule for the 87ers at the Bob Carpenter Center. We are excited about the ways in which we partnered with the University of Delaware to creatively adjust as they focus on building their presence in their athletic conference. The Sevens’ commitment to our fans, partners, supporters, friends and the state of Delaware itself has been paramount throughout this process.”

The schedule is highlighted by 10 marquee home games: Home Opener (11/6), Four Weekend & Holiday Specials (11/22, 1/19, 1/20, 12/27); Two Education Day & Business Persons Deluxe games at the Bob Carpenter Center (12/12, 1/17); Two Education Day & Business Persons Deluxe Games at The Center (doubleheader with Philadelphia 76ers on 12/19, 1/24) and Fan Appreciation Night (3/13).

Most mid-week games scheduled have been assigned an earlier 6:30 p.m. tip off time to accommodate school nights throughout the winter months.

Additional theme nights, non-profit fundraisers, giveaways and events will be announced with the 2017-18 promotional schedule at a later date.

Second-year head coach Eugene Burroughs will lead Delaware into its fifth NBA G League campaign. The league will open with a record 26 teams this season, including the additions of Memphis Hustle (Grizzlies), Wisconsin Herd (Bucks), Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (Clippers) and Lakeland Magic (Magic). The Erie BayHawks will enter the team’s 10th season in the league, but the team’s first season as the NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks.
