610 AM SPORTS TO BROADCAST 20 SEVENS HOME GAMES IN 2017-18
TEAM TO LAUNCH “SEVENS IN 60” MONTHLY RADIO SHOW
WILMINGTON, DE – NOVEMBER 6, 2017 – The Delaware 87ers announced today the launch of a radio broadcasting partnership with 610 AM WTEL. A total of 20 Sevens home games are scheduled to be aired live on the station during the 2017-18 season.
The team is also set to launch “Sevens in 60”, a monthly, hour-long radio program featuring player and coach interviews and NBA G League news, hosted by Philadelphia sports radio personality Natalie Egenolf.
“We are very proud to launch this partnership with Beasley Media Group and 610 AM WTEL,” said 87ers Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications Alex Yoh. “This is an exciting opportunity to further extend the reach to our fans through one of the all-time most popular sports radio stations in the region.”
The Sevens also announced that the team has hired veteran broadcaster Geoff Arnold to handle play-by-play duties for all radio broadcasts this season. In addition to this role, he serves as the Director of Broadcasting and Public Relations for the Frederick Keys, the Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Arnold has also broadcast games for ESPN3, the ACC, A-10 and Patriot League Networks and Mount St. Mary’s University.
The Sevens 2017-18 radio broadcast schedule tips off on Opening Night, Monday, Nov. 6 when the team hosts the Westchester Knicks at 7:00 pm. The full radio broadcast schedule is below.
