DELAWARE 87ERS ANNOUNCE 2017-18 TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

Former NBA Rookie of the Year, No. 2 overall selection Emeka Okafor among 14 participating in Training Camp

WILMINGTON, DE – OCTOBER 22, 2017 – The Delaware 87ers today announced its Training Camp Roster for the 2017-18 season. The roster is comprised of four Philadelphia 76ers affiliates, three returners, three open tryout participants and four draft selections.

A 10-year NBA veteran, Okafor averaged a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes per game. While playing collegiately at Connecticut, he led the Huskies to the 2004 NCAA championship and was awarded the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player award. Okafor joins returning 87ers players Webb III, Lopez and Edwards from last season, in addition to Salisbery, who played for the Sevens in the inaugural 2013-14 campaign.

The Sevens will hold Media Day on Monday, Oct. 23 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Delaware Children’s Museum. Sevens Training Camp then begins on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and runs through Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del.
