DELAWARE 87ERS TO HOST STAR WARS NIGHT TONIGHT

WILMINGTON, DE – DECEMBER 27, 2017 – The Delaware 87ers will host Star Wars Night to benefit Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 27, when they take on Raptors 905 at 7 p.m. ET at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del.

Special Star Wars themed 87ers jerseys featuring Resistance hero BB-8 will be auctioned off to fans to benefit Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children’s Child Life Activity Center. Twenty percent of tickets purchased using promo code NEMOURS here will also be donated to Nemours Child Life Activity Center.

Fans can count on an out-of-this-world night! Star Wars characters from local performance groups Garrison Carida (501st Legion) and Ghost Base (Rebel Legion) will fill the arena. BB-8 Builders Club will feature professional prop replicas of BB-8 and BB-9e.

Additionally, the first 2,500 fans to enter will receive specially branded Thunder Sticks presented by Buffalo Wild Wings.

All fans are encouraged to dress up as Star Wars characters and participate in a costume parade for the chance to win free movie passes for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, courtesy Penn Cinema Riverfront & IMAX.

Memorabilia for Charities will host an onsite sports memorabilia auction in the 87ers KidZone, and portions of each item sold will we be donated to Nemours Child Life Activity Center.
